L X (Loneliness Mix)
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahhhhhhh. I see your loneliness, your emptiness and your loneliness.”
The idea stems from Joe Rogan’s ‘Deep Conversation on Loneliness in the Modern World’ and the samples are taken from that: youtu.be/cx2WNU3TJvI
This is the last track in a collection that is built around the heartbeat and/or breath. The other tracks include Searchlight, L X (Spinning Coin Mix), Skinflint, So Low/Solo and I’ve Got Your Heart Beat. It may be the final track from that collection but it kick started the U n b o r n collection (ETA mid-end July 2017), which is a deep excavation into human connectivity-when we have it and when we don’t.
I worked initially with a vocal sketch idea created through looping that produced the “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahhhhhhhhh” backdrop, which along with the heartbeat sample created the main backbone of the track. Every other sound was then also looped and then interwoven into that. I blew across the top of the bottle for the ‘breathy’ sounds; consequently it has been a very hard track to process effectively.
I see your loneliness, your emptiness and your loneliness.
